Pipeline circulation systems are the lifeblood of global industry, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of fluids, gases, and other media. At the heart of these systems lies the ball valve, a critical component designed for precise control and reliability. Yuhuan Wanrong Copper Industry Co., Ltd. has been a leading ISO9001 and CE-certified valve manufacturer since 2004, specializing in high-performance ball valves. Let's learn more about ball valves.
Ball Valve Introduction
A ball valve is a valve whose opening and closing elements are driven by a stem and rotate around the valve's axis. Ball valves are characterized by a spherical shutoff mechanism with a central hole. Multi-way ball valves not only provide flexible control of media converging, diverting, and switching flow directions in pipelines, but can also close any channel and connect two others. Ball valves are categorized by actuation method: pneumatic, electric, and manual.
Key Functions
Shutoff and Isolation
Ball valves utilize PTFE or metal seats to provide an airtight seal, preventing leaks in high-pressure pipelines. Their full-bore design eliminates flow restrictions and reduces turbulence.
Flow Distribution
Multi-port ball valves (three-way or four-way) can divide or combine flow without additional fittings, making them ideal for complex chemical or water treatment systems.
Emergency Control
Automated ball valves (pneumatic/electric) respond to pressure spikes or leaks in seconds, protecting infrastructure.
Corrosion Resistance
Our valves are made of brass, stainless steel, or zinc alloy and are resistant to corrosive media such as acids, solvents, and salt water.
Ball Valve Features
Wear Resistance
Because the valve core of a hard-sealed ball valve is spray-welded alloy steel and the seal ring is welded overlayed alloy steel, hard-sealed ball valves experience minimal wear during opening and closing, with a hardness coefficient of 65-70.
Excellent Sealing Performance
Because the seal of a hard-sealed ball valve is manually ground until the valve core and seal ring are perfectly aligned before use, the sealing performance is extremely reliable.
Easy Opening and Closing
Because a spring at the bottom of the seal ring of a hard-sealed ball valve secures the seal ring to the valve core, the valve opening and closing is very smooth when external forces exceed the spring preload.
Long service life
It has been widely used in various industries such as petroleum, chemical industry, power generation, papermaking, atomic energy, aviation, rocketry, and in people's daily life.
